A Fresh Approach To Networking - Raleigh Women’s Social Club

My story has a lot of twists and turns, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Through being forced to adapt and pivot, I’ve had dreams come to fruition that weren’t even on my radar because I never allowed myself to dream that big. It was in the process of losing my business where I really found my motivation, my purpose and ultimately, myself.

Dove & Olive started off as my personal mission to create a single place for the Raleigh community to gather, but when I had to close the Mercantile location due to the extended impact of COVID-19, my mission evolved. One of the things I loved most about our original space was the workshops we held, and it was in putting those workshops together that I began to understand where my true passion lies. My sole purpose is to be a connector of people, specifically other women, through creating authentic experiences designed to cultivate mentorships, relationships and all things networking for our women-in-business community.

This realization is what led to the evolution of The Women’s Social Club.

The traditional approach to networking feels transactional, which actually leads to less connection. The truth is, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for relationship building and that’s how we should be looking at it to begin with. A lot of relationships between women carry over from business to personal and it's because of that, we need to approach network-building in more of a relationship-building mindset.

The Social Club’s program balances the relaxed atmosphere of hands-on workshops with the structure of guided networking activities, leading to a more genuine community building experience. I also tailored The Women’s Social Club’s unique approach to suit every woman in business, not just entrepreneurs. And we mean truly everyone—from those with a 9-5 looking to climb the corporate ladder, to those who are building, launching or running their own businesses. This program is here to bridge the connection gap and help you create a community filled with meaningful relationships.

In addition to The Women’s Social Club, my business, Dove & Olive, has recently partnered up on a new project in the Boylan Heights neighborhood of downtown Raleigh, Hartwell, which will be a retail and workshop venue that's scheduled to open in January 2021.

While I'm planning for The Women's Club to have an 'official' launch once Hartwell opens early next year, I will be doing a soft-launch offering a limited number of Founder Memberships beginning this month and it’s launching TODAY!

Our membership includes:

Two monthly socials per month. One will be more lecture based with two women-in-business speakers and the other will be more hands-on following a workshop approach. Each of these monthly events will offer time for complimentary refreshments and meaningful relationship building activities.

First access and discounted rates to our Bi-Annual Retreats. Twice a year Dove & Olive will be hosting weekend retreats to Flourish Flower Farm in Asheville! These spring and fall weekend getaways will include on-the-farm floral arranging and yoga workshops, as well as one of a kind dining experiences catered by local chefs.

Access to the exclusive Women's Only Social Club Online Community Forum and Membership Directory. Our forum ensures that we never lose touch or fall out of relationship in-between events and with the membership directory, you can easily connect with the other members directly.

There are a limited number of Founder Memberships available for this fall and once they sell out, they’re gone. Membership enrollment will then be closed until early 2021, so don’t miss your chance to transform your network and build your community! I can’t wait to see you there!
