A New Raleigh Fitness Method

Spring is in full swing and that means more time spent outside and getting back into summer “shape”. I had the honor of meeting with Brooks Owens, the owner of Brooks Fitness Method, to try out her one of a kind fitness classes. Brooks took the time to write a guest post and tell us more about her fitness program.

Get ready to transform your mind and body, find a community of badass women, and feel at home with Brooks Fitness Method. I’m Brooks and I am the founder of BFM and I am here to tell you what my classes are all about.

My classes are carefully crafted with seamless transitions, clear curing, motivation, and upbeat playlists.

I have over 20 years of experience teaching dance & fitness.

About my classes:

It’s fitting my first method of class I created is called DanceFIT- it merges my dance & fitness (my two favorites) together. Not a dancer? No problem- this class is for everyone. DanceFIT has you leaving feeling accomplished, confident and empowered.

FusionFIT fuses together yoga, barre, Pilates, and cardio all into one seamless class.

ExtendFIT lengthens and defines muscles in a barre inspired low impact class.

VitalityFIT- a more intensive interval training circuit style class to get your heart racing.

I offer private and group training, an online subscription series, and a mini video 21 Day program.

Maximize your workout with my resistance bands and stability balls

I have two options: blue (lighter resistance) and black (heavier resistance). These bands recruit your stabilizing muscles, lightweight, and a fantastic training tool for building all over body strength. What I love about these bands is you have to maintain tension instead of using momentum.

My stability balls activate your core structure, strengthens your core muscles, improves proprioception (body awareness as it moves in space), balance, coordination, and posture!

At the end of the day, we want to find a place to sweat, move, work hard, connect to others, and leave feeling better than you started. That place is Brooks Fitness Method. I hope to see you soon in class!
