East Downtown Raleigh On The Rise
Raleigh’s real estate market is stronger than ever. Homebuyers are out and fiercely competing to own a piece of this great city. People from all over the country are relocating to Raleigh for our “affordable real estate”, strong economy, growing art & music scene, and overall desirable lifestyle. One area that is on the rise is east Raleigh, the mix of charming bungalows, new construction homes, and continuous redevelopment provides the perfect recipe for a great investment.
Nestled between N Raleigh Blvd and Marlborough Road is an up-and-coming community in East Raleigh. The location, which is near downtown and boasts the desirable claim of being inside the beltline, is now the home of Millbank Village, a no-maintenance neighborhood anchored with 18 townhomes and a handful of single-family homes. It was built and designed by Raleigh-based businesses and quickly attracted buyers eager for high-end housing near downtown.
The units features quartz countertops, gourmet kitchens, modern lighting, and hardwood flooring, and the neighborhood offers the best of a neighborhood feel in an urban setting.
In true “if you build it, they will come” fashion, the community quickly attracted other local businesses, too. Residents can easily walk to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Optimist Coffee Shop at Brookside Market, and Gateway Plaza, which is home to a growing number of establishments including Mordecai Beverage Co., Arrichion Hot Yoga + Circuit Training, Wyatt’s BBQ, Menagerie Style House, and Union Special, a full-service bakery and café. Lions Park is also nearby and offers over 40 acres of recreational space, including a BMX trail, playgrounds, and sports fields. And if you’re an outdoor adventurer, there is an access point for Crabtree Creek Trail.
Millbank was born out of a vision that co-founders of RDG Design Build, Chris Hodges and Coburn Murray, had to deliver creative real estate and building solutions that had a positive impact on the community. Their vision has come to life and investors can expect that the area will continue to grow as new businesses pop up.
